Many gamers might not so keen on using wireless peripherals but that doesn’t stop Logitech from continuously developing such products. Among of its latest effort are the new G603 Gaming Mouse and G613 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard which are part of Logitech Lightspeed series.

Just like other products within the series, both G603 and G613 are equipped with Logitech’s own Lightspeed proprietary wireless technology that is apparently responsive enough to be on par with wired peripherals. Specifically, the company claimed that the report rate that this technology able to deliver is 1ms.

That being said, G603 does come with a dedicated switch in which users can tune down the report rate to 8ms which allows the mouse’s battery to last up to 18 months as compared to 500 hours when the 1ms mode is activated. While similar button is not implemented on G613, there isn’t really a need to do so anyway since the wireless mechanical gaming keyboard’s battery life is rated as up to 18 months.

Interestingly, users can also choose to utilize G603 and G613 using Bluetooth connection instead of using the Lightspeed USB receiver. This generally allows both gaming peripherals to control multiple devices at the same time.

Meanwhile, the launch of G03 also marked the debut of Logitech’s new 12,000 DPI High Efficiency Rated Optical (HERO) sensor which apparently is up to 10x more power efficient that its predecessors. As for G613, it is equipped with Logitech’s own Romer-G mechanical key switches that has actuation force and point of 45g and 1.5g respectively together with rated lifespan of 70 million keystrokes.

Price-wise, the G603 Lightspeed Gaming Mouse will be made available for RM 329 while the G613 Lightspeed Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard can be obtained for RM 499.  Gamers are able to checkout both of these Logitech Lightspeed gaming peripherals at retailers throughout Malaysia starting from October onwards.
