Fujifilm has announced a new model under its mirrorless line-up. The Fujifilm X-E3 sports a 24.3MP X-Trans sensor, much like the one in the X-T20. This sensor also makes it a viable video camera. Fujifilm offers video recording of up to 4K/30p, or 1080p at 60fps.
The camera features a 325-point AF system also borrowed from the X-T20. Unfortunately, Fujifilm omitted the built-in flash, bundling the EF-X8 clip-on flash instead.
At the rear is a fixed 3-inch 1.04Million-dot LCD touchscreen for controlling camera operations. Fujifilm also streamlined the back panels, omitting several redundant buttons while adding in a four-way joystick to adjust the settings.
Storage is via SD cards, with built-in Wi-Fi and low energy Bluetooth to connect and transfer images/videos from the camera to a mobile device using Fujifilm’s app.
The Fujifilm X-E3 is expected to arrive sometime in September in two colours and three different kit configurations; body-only for US$ 900 (RM 3,790), XF18-55mm bundle for US$ 1,300 (RM 5,474) or the XF23mm F2 R WR bundle for US$ 1,150 (RM 4,843) .
