The recommended retail price of the PlayStation VR and PlayStation Camera bundle has been dropped to RM1749. The new price will come into effect on 1 September 2017, which means everyone should hold off for a few more days before looking to pick up the PS VR.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Singapore Branch (SIES) had originally marketed the PS VR bundle at RM2049. This included the PS Camera necessary to make everything work. Curiously, this latest price cut also coincides with the bundle being introduced to the US.
We’re aware that some retailers have been selling the bundle for less than the RRP, but this latest price revision should also reduce prices on that end. SIES doesn’t share sales numbers for the PS VR, but we thought that the system is one of the most refined and focused VR experiences currently available. It’s also the most affordable option when it comes to VR games.
