Lenovo Unexpectedly Announces Budget Friendly Moto C In Malaysia

Lenovo has introduced the budget friendly Moto C and Moto C Plus here in Malaysia. The devices are designed as entry level smartphones, although they still ship with Android 7.0 Nougat. Both were only announced two months ago.

The Moto C runs on a modest MediaTek MT6737m, quad core 1.1GHz processor with 1GB RAM. Storage miniscule 16GB; there’s support for microSD card expansion of up to 32GB. All this is hidden behind the 5-inch 854×480 display. As is the case with these entry level devices, there’s a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front shooter.

On the other hand, the Moto C Plus isn’t a bigger device despite the name. It’s still a 5-inch display (bumped up to 1280 x 720), and ships with a MediaTek MT6737 processor. There’s 2GB RAM available thanks to it being stuck with a slightly higher price tag, although storage is also set at 16GB (with the same 32GB microSD card support).

The Moto C and Moto C Plus will be priced at RM399 and RM539 respectively when they hit the market. Both devices are already on the Moto Malaysia website, and we’re told that they are now available in stores.
