The Oppo R11 appears to have received SIRIM certification, and should be gearing up for a Malaysian launch soon. The phone was officially announced last week, and seeing this early in the SIRIM database bodes well for the upcoming launch. However, it would appear that only one device has cleared the certification.
SIRIM’s database only lists the model CPH1707 from Oppo, which happens to be the R11. Chances are that the large R11 Plus is still awaiting certification, which indicates that any local announces will not happen until both devices are cleared for the market.
The Oppo R11 is a midrange device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and 4GB RAM. It’s fitted with a 5.5-inch FHD display and packed with 64GB of onboard storage. The R11 Plus, obviously, bumps the display up to 6-inches and the RAM to 6GB.
Naturally, there’s little to say about the R11 in Malaysia until we hear something from Oppo. Seeing that the fasting month is almost at an end, it’s likely that the R11 will only be launched after the Hari Raya holidays.
