After being spotted in SIRIM’s database last week, OPPO confirms that the A7 Pro series will be making its way to Malaysia soon. In preparation for the upcoming release, the company is already offering its early bird promotions.
To refresh your memory, the series consists of two models: a Pro 5G and a Pro Max 5G model. The company boasts that both smartphones have a large battery capacity, fast charging, and a potent camera system.
According to the official press release, both models feature a 50MP ultra-wide AI zoom selfie camera which features a 100-degree field of view, or so the company says. On the flip side, the device comes with a 50MP main shooter with a 1/2-inch sensor that supposedly captures 70% more light compared to previous generations.
OPPO, via the official document, highlighted a few AI features that you can find on devices, like the AI Night Mode, which uses a RAW Super Night algorithm to recover details in both highlights and shadows. There’s also the AI Popout, a new feature that lets users remove a specific subject from the photo frame for social media-ready collages.
As for individual specs, the A7 Pro Max carries a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset runs on a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage. It has a 10,000mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVOOC wired charging.
The A7 Pro, on the other hand, features a 6.57-inch OLED screen that has a peak brightness of 1,400 nits and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood it has a Dimensity 6360 Max chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Powering it all is an 8,000mAh cell that supports 45W charging.
As per usual, OPPO has yet to reveal the local pricing for either device at the time of writing. However, it did reveal an early bird promotion running from 11 to 18 September, where customers can secure either model for RM50 via the brand’s official online store. This unlocks a Deal Pack worth RM629.
According to the press release, those who purchase the A7 Pro Max will receive a gift coupon for the Enco Air4, while A7 Pro buyers will receive one for the Enco Buds3 Pro. In addition, OPPO is offering launch rebates of RM200 for the A7 Pro Max and RM100 for the A7 Pro.
There are also purchase-with-purchase options available, including the OPPO Portable Wireless Speaker for RM149, down from its RM249 RRP, and the Enco Buds3 for RM99, compared to its RM129 RRP. These offers are available while stocks last.
It’s worth pointing out that the press release does not explicitly mention an official launch date for the OPPO A7 Pro series in Malaysia. We reached out to a local representative for clarification but have yet to receive a response at the time of writing. We will update this article should there be any further developments.
