The Pokémon Company has a new game, and this time round, they want you to become a Magikarp trainer. The company just released a new game called Magikarp Jump that lets you train your Magikarp to soar as high as possible; who says this weakest Pokémon ever is completely useless?
Magikarp Jump is pretty straightforward – just train the fish and bring it to tournaments; don’t forget to feed your Magikarp. There are various training methods like Sandbag Slam and Jump Counter to help you gain more Jump Power (JP). Sometimes, you might get some Random Encounter to help you out to level up faster and earn more coins. Do be careful though, not all Random Encounters are good, mine got snatched up by a Pidgeotto and I can’t help but feel sad for it.
When you are read, you can bring your Magikarp to battles and battle against other Magikarps to see who jumps higher. If your Magikarp gets knocked out, or it reaches the maximum level 20, you will start over with a new generation of Magikarp. Just keep training all your Magikarp until you make it to the top of the in-game tournament ladder. The game is pretty effortless on the player’s end, just tap to load a random training, or tap for it to jump in a league. You don’t need to do anything else.
Of course, like most games, you can spend real money to help you out in the game like speed up your training, replenish your food stock, and catch more Magikarp. You can also purchase décor to customise your Magikarp’s habitat.
