It appears the very durable Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 will be launched in Malaysia soon. Announced earlier this year in March, the Xcover 4 is ideal for those who want a smartphone that can take a beating – it also sports a removable battery and IP68 rating.
That’s right: unlike many smartphones in the market now, the Galaxy Xcover 4 comes with a removable battery. The best part is, the Xcover 4 is also IP68-rated, not to mention MIL-STD-810 certified. In short, this device can really take a beating.
Other specifications of the Galaxy Xcover 4, on the other hand, aren’t quite as impressive. It features a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.4GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage – expandable with a microSD card up to 256GB – a 2,800mAh battery, as well as Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
In the camera department, the Galaxy Xcover 4 comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. The Xcover 4 also has physical navigation keys, which isn’t all that surprising given the rugged-nature of the device.
At the time of this writing, it still remains to be seen when – or if – the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 will be officially available in Malaysia. However, we imagine it won’t take too long, seeing how it’s already registered with SIRIM.
