Apple reseller Switch has the iPhone 5s on a special offer this week. Those looking to pick up the – now – entry level iPhone can get it for RM1,099; but only until 14 May. That’s not all though, Switch is also dropping the price of the iPhone 5S once the promotional period is over.
Switch is only selling the 16GB version of the iPhone 5s at the moment, although that seems to be the only model left at the reseller. Which is interesting considering the 32GB iPhone 5s hasn’t seen a price cut in over a year.
On 15 May, the price of the iPhone 5s will jump back up to RM1,188. This is still less than the pre-promotion price; but only by about RM11. Interestingly, Machines is already selling the same phone for this amount. Mac City is slightly cheaper than the other two; offering the iPhone 5s for RM1,180. Which really isn’t much of a difference.
This certainly looks like a stock clearing measure from Switch; considering that the iPhone 5s is already four years old. Still, it’s a reasonable price to acquire a new iPhone.
