The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will officially go on sale in Malaysia from 5 May onwards, and to celebrate, the company is offering some interesting deals to interested customers as part of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Roadshow.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Roadshow will take place from 5-7 May 2017 in three locations: Sunway Pyramid (Klang Valley), Queensbay Mall (Penang), and Sutera Mall (Johor Bahru). All three locations will offer the same promotions.
For starters, those who missed out on the pre-order can still get the Galaxy S8 starter kit and battery pack at the Samsung Galaxy S8 Roadshow. This kit consists of a Clear View cover as well as a wireless charger; the battery pack is a 5,100mAh unit.
However, then starter kit is an early bird special gift only, and is given on a first come, first served basis. The following table breaks down the early bird special:
On the other hand, customers who purchase the Galaxy S8 or S8+ are also entitled to a 50% discount on the Gear VR with Controller and the new Gear 360. Customers can choose to purchase either one of the devices, or both, at half price – the Gear VR with Controller and new Gear 360 retails at RM499 and RM999, respectively.
There will also be a trade up promotion for those who wish to trade in their devices and purchase the Galaxy S8 or S8+ at a reduced price. The trade up program is managed by distributor Ingram Micro, and accepts smartphones from Samsung, Oppo, Huawei, and Apple – the full list of devices can be found here.
Besides that, there will also be some similar promotions in Samsung stores and dealers. Customers who purchase the S8 or S8+ will receive a free 5,100mAh battery pack (while stocks last), and the trade up program will also be available at a large number of Samsung stores and authorised dealers listed here.
