We have seen quite a number of phone makers enter the Malaysian market recently. There were Oukitel, Infinix, and even Meizu to a certain extent. Now, American-based phone maker Blu is joining the fray. However, unlike other brands, Blu is entering our market with a slew of smartphones. Ten of them, to be specific.

Out of the 10 smartphones launched, the RM1,799 Blu Pure XR – the company’s flagship phone – is the most interesting of the bunch. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, a MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 16MP rear and 8MP front-facing cameras, a fingerprint sensor, as well as a 3,000mAh battery.

A tier down is the RM1,399 Blu Vivo 6. Much like the Pure XR, the Vivo 6 is also powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor. It also comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,130mAh battery. In the camera department, the Vivo 6 has a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter.

Launched alongside these two phones are eight other Blu devices priced at almost every possible price point. We’ll list them all below for easy reference:

  • Blu Vivo 5R (RM1,059)
  • Blu Vivo XL 2 (RM899)
  • Blu Life Max (RM599)
  • Blu Studio G HD LTE (RM459)
  • Blu Energy Diamond (RM439)
  • Blu Grand M (RM369)
  • Blu Vivo 5 Mini (RM299)
  • Blu Diamond M (RM299)

For the time being, Blu is partnering with Lazada to sell its smartphones in Malaysia; certain devices are also bundled with JBL products, such as the Pure XR and Vivo 6. If you’re keen to check out Blu’s entire range of smartphones in Malaysia, you can do so on Lazada.
