Following in the footsteps of Zotac, Gigabyte Malaysia has also decided to revise the pricing of its custom GTX 1080s. That said, it seems that only three Gigabyte GTX 1080s will be affected by the price cut. A GTX 1080 price revision was first announced by Nvidia during its GDC 2017 event.

The first custom graphics card to receive a price reduction is the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC 8G. This graphics card now comes at a new MSRP of RM2,689 – previously priced at around RM2,980. Next up is the slightly more powerful GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G graphics card. According to Gigabyte Malaysia, this graphics card is now priced at RM2,899. Prior to the price revision, this graphics card had an average retail price of about RM3,070.

Gigabyte’s last graphics card that comes with a new price is the GTX 1080 Aorus Xtreme Edition 8G. The new recommended retail price of this graphics card is RM,3179, which translates to a price reduction of approximately RM180 from its previous MSRP.

The Gigabyte GTX 1080 price reduction announcement was found on DotaTech IT and ETECH PC’s Facebook pages. This probably means that both retailers may have already begun selling Gigabyte’s custom GTX 1080s at a new price.
