Alongside Lenovo’s announcement of its brand new Yoga 720 and 520 2-in-1 notebooks, the company has also unveiled its Tab 4 series tablets. More specifically, the Lenovo Tab 4 8, Tab 4 8 Plus, Tab 4 10, and Tab 4 10 Plus – the names are quite hard to digest at first.
Lenovo’s Tab 4 8 and 8 Plus are both 8-inch tablets, while the Tab 4 10 and 10 Plus are 10-inch tablets. Interestingly, the standard Tab 4 8 and 10 tablets are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 processor. In addition, these tablets also feature 2GB RAM along with a 1200×800 display. Camera-wise, both come fitted with a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera.
Meanwhile, Lenovo has also introduced the ‘supercharged’ versions of the aforementioned tablets and they bear the ‘Plus’ branding. The improvements that come with the Plus Tab 4’s are a Snapdragon 625 processor and a 1920×1200 IPS display. In addition, users will also be able opt for higher RAM capacities as well. The camera’s on the Plus models are also upgraded to 5MP front and 8MP rear.
It’s worth noting that all four Tab 4 series tablets will be running Android Nougat out of the box. Also note that there will be WiFi+LTE and WiFi-only variants as well. All four Tab 4 tablets will be made available to consumers starting from May 2017.
When it comes to price, the standard Lenovo Tab 4 8 and Tab 10 will be priced at US$109 (about RM483) and US$149 (around RM661) respectively. Their Plus variants, on the other hand, will carry slightly higher price tags of US$199 (approximately RM883) and US$249 each (about RM1,105).
