Zotac Outs Two New Low Profile Graphics Cards

Low profile graphics cards seem to be getting more and more popular these days. The most recent manufacturer to join the bandwagon is Zotac, with its newest GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards. These cards are, of course, targeted primarily at systems that don’t have lots of room for a full-sized GPU.

Zotac dubs its newest low profile graphics cards as the GTX 1050 LP and GTX 1050 Ti LP. Zotac has gone with the ‘all black’ colour scheme for the cooler shroud of both graphics cards. In addition, the cooler shroud is also coupled with two 40mm cooling fans. It’s worth noting that Zotac’s newest cards will still occupy two slots due to their ‘thick’ cooling solutions.

When it comes to performance, both the GTX 1050 LP and GTX 1050 Ti LP boasts similar clock speeds to that of their Nvidia counterparts. Like other recent low profile graphics cards in the market, Zotac has also equipped its cards with only two display outputs: one DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b ports each.

Interestingly, Zotac’s newest graphics cards may be powered solely by the PCIe slot; no power connectors needed. Unfortunately, the company made no mention of the prices for its new low profile graphics cards. However, they are expected to be released sometime in March.
