The second generation Motorola Moto 360 will be launching in Malaysia tomorrow, despite the fact that is already on sale. Regardless, there is one very interesting promotion at tomorrow’s launch event: the new Moto 360 can be purchased for 50% off, which is quite a substantial discount.

As is always the case with such a good offer, there are a couple of caveats. For one, the 50% discount is only applicable to the 42mm Black Edition of the Moto 360, which should go for RM1,399 if we go by Lazada’s listing for this particular model. Other than that, the 50% discount will only be available to the first 50 customers; the next 30 customers will receive 30% off, while the last 20 customers will get 20% off instead, which is still quite a good offer.

In comparison to its predecessor, the new Moto 360 is a much better wearable thanks to a more modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under its hood; the first generation Moto 360 was powered by an ageing TI OMAP 3 chipset. Other specifications of the second generation wearable include a 1.37-inch 360 x 325 LCD display (1.56-inch 360 x 330 on the bigger 46mm variant), 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 300mAh battery – 400mAh on the 46mm model – as well as a heart rate sensor, not to mention a new lug design for easier swapping of watch bands.

This promotion for the second generation Motorola Moto 360 will be held tomorrow at the Centre Court of Mid Valley Megamall. The sale will commence at 12.30PM, according to Moto Malaysia.
