MSI and Fnatic are getting the band back together again. The Taiwanese manufacturer has announced a new partnership deal with Fnatic that will see cross promotions between the two. MSI will once again be a one of the shirt sponsors for all of Fnatic’s teams; while the two will be running contests and giveaways for MSI equipment.
“MSI and Fnatic are both proven leaders in the gaming industry with dedicated efforts to further eSports for years. Players at Fnatic will be outfitted with state-of-the-art MSI gaming rigs that give them the edge they need to smash their enemies and succeed. MSI will have Fnatic’s full support and expertise to market and create truly awesome gaming rigs that gamers crave,” says Sam Chern, MSI Global Marketing Director.
Fnatic’s announcement on its website indicates that the two will be “running giveaways together for MSI laptops, motherboards and more in the coming months.” Interestingly, this announcement comes barely a week after the professional gaming team announced that its own Fnatic Gear line of gaming peripherals has been launched in Malaysia.
The professional gaming team made the news in Malaysia last year after it recruited a wholly Malaysian team to represent it in Dota 2. While the team is no longer entirely Malaysian, it is still based based in the country and gives us someone local for us to support during major tournaments. Fnatic has also been extremely successful in the Counter Strike: Global Offensive scene in 2015; winning both ESL: Katowice and ESL: Cologne.
