Just weeks after launching the G502 Proteus Spectrum gaming mouse, Logitech is now introducing its newest gaming keyboard called the G810 Orion Spectrum. The full-sized gaming keyboard comes with several features that may attract a few PC gamers. The G810 Orion Spectrum would be the second keyboard by Logitech to feature RGB lighting, the first one being the G910 Orion Spark.
Unlike Logitech’s previous gaming keyboards, which featured an array of wild designs, the G810 Orion Spectrum is more down to earth and minimalistic in some ways. In addition to that, the RGB lighting on the gaming keyboard is also much neater compared to the ones found on its predecessor. Simply put, the matte black G810 Orion Spectrum – to a non-gaming consumer – may be mistaken for a normal inexpensive keyboard, which isn’t entirely bad. There are a handful gamers that prefers simple and humble peripheral designs.
Specification-wise, the G810 Orion Spectrum features Logitech’s Romer-G mechanical key switches, which was also used in the recently reviewed G310 Atlas Dawn gaming keyboard. Besides that, the gaming keyboard is also equipped with what it dubs as “Easy-Access Media Control” buttons which can used to control.. media.
Of course, modern-day gaming keyboards wouldn’t be complete without its software. The G810 Orion Spectrum comes with Logitech’s Gaming Software, which enables consumers to fully customise certain aspects of the gaming keyboard. According to Logitech, its gaming software comes with custom lighting profiles for over 300 games.

There is, however, one minor issue with the G810 Orion Spectrum; the price. Logitech’s newest gaming keyboard costs an eye-watering RM799. With that kind of pricing, one would expect something out of the ordinary to be featured on the G810 Orion Spectrum instead. Then again, the gaming keyboard is probably targeted at a small group of gamers with deep pockets.
