Biostar Unveils The GK3 Mechanical Keyboard; Priced Around RM200

Biostar has unveiled its first ever mechanical keyboard called the GK3. Mechanical keyboards nowadays, especially those from well known brands, are traditionally slapped with price tags that may be overwhelming for some PC gamers on a budget. Gladly, this isn’t the case with the GK3; according to Biostar, its new mechanical gaming keyboard is “a durable and responsive keyboard aimed at the masses.”

The design on Biostar’s GK3 mechanical keyboard is somewhat ‘edgy-looking’. The main body of the gaming keyboard is made out of an ‘aluminium metallic’ material; which could make the GK3 more durable compared to other plastic-bodied mechanical keyboards in the market. One interesting feature about this keyboard is the fact that it’s both dust proof and waterproof as well.

Biostar GK3 2In addition, the Biostar GK3 also features OUTEMU Blue switches, which are rated for at least 50 million clicks. Oddly, Biostar did not mention whether this keyboard is RGB-lit. However, it did mention that the GK3 will come with seven backlighting effects; namely Starlight, Wave, Breathing, Ripple, Static, Single, and custom.

Dimensions-wise, the GK3 mechanical keyboard measures in at 459.5mm x 204.3mm x 36.8mm, and it weighs around 1.15kg. Most PC gamers would probably be even more tempted to get this gaming keyboard upon knowing that it’s priced at just US$45 (about RM200).
