It looks like Gigabyte is the latest graphics card manufacturer to release a water-cooled GTX 1080. Dubbed as the GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce, Gigabyte’s latest graphics features a water block that looks pretty cool.

That said, unlike Gigabyte’s previous GTX 980 Ti Xtreme Gaming Waterforce graphics card, the GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce does not come with an AIO (all in one) liquid-cooling loop. Instead, the graphics card is fitted with full cover water block that encapsulates the entire PCB.Gigabyte GTX 1080 Waterforce 3Speaking of which, according to sources, the GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce PCB is similar to that of its air-cooled sibling, the GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming. Interestingly, Gigabyte mentioned that this graphics card is also equipped with “Titan X grade” chokes and capacitors, which will help a lot in power efficiency and overclocking.

Performance-wise, the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce boasts a base and boost GPU clock speeds of 1759MHz and 1898MHz respectively – in ‘Gaming Mode’. Clock speeds of up to 1936MHz is achievable when the graphics card is on ‘OC Mode’.Gigabyte GTX 1080 Waterforce 2Unfortunately, price and date of availability for the GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming Waterforce was not mentioned by Gigabyte. However, sources are estimating the graphics to have a price tag of around US$770 (about RM3,230).
