You Can Now Experience The Tesla Model S With Grab

Grab’s latest promotion comes in the form of a Tesla Model S ride experience. In partnership with the folks at GreenTech, Grab customers will now able to feel what it’s like to be a passenger in Tesla’s all-electric car.

Unfortunately, chances of being able to successfully book a Tesla Model S may be rather slim. According to Grab, this is due to the ‘exclusivity’ of the particular car model. This means that they may only be available at different locations at certain times. In addition, the promotion is also said to only last for three days: 14th till the 16th of October, from 10am-6pm.

During the promotion period, Grab’s Tesla Model S cars will be available at these locations:

  • Friday (14 October): Jalan Raja Chulan / Jalan Ampang / Jalan Tun Abdul Razak
  • Saturday (15 October): Mont Kiara / Sri Hartamas / Bangsar
  • Sunday (16 October): Bandar Utama / TTDI  / Mutiara Damansara

It’s also worth noting that customers riding the Tesla Model S will be charged a fixed fare of RM15, which is apparently only payable via debit or credit cards. Besides that, a ‘successful’ ride may only consist of a maximum of 5km per journey. The maximum amount of passengers allowed on a Grab Tesla Model S ride is three.

Booking a Tesla Model S ride using the Grab app is pretty simple. All one has to do is to look for the Tesla Model S icon on the Grab app. Following that, one must then key in the desired pick up and drop off location. Once done, all that’s left to do is to click the green ‘Book’ button and hope that the booking gets accepted.

More information regarding Grab’s Tesla Model S promotion along with the fine prints can be found here. If you’ve been craving for a luxury eco-friendly ride on one of Tesla’s most popular car model, now would be the time to do so.
