One of the most noticeable new feature that GoPro has equipped into its freshly baked Hero5 Black and Session cameras is the ability to control them through voice. However, the company somehow didn’t really highlight this equally new product that helps enhance the capability of the voice control feature in these new GoPro cameras.
Called Remo, it is basically a remote that is equipped with microphone which allows users to control their Hero5 cameras via voice from up to 10 meters away given that the Remo is within a direct line of view from the camera. Additionally, Remo is also waterproof just like Hero5 cameras themselves but only up to a depth of 5m.
The remote is also equipped with a shutter button for those moments where users prefer to use physical button instead. Each Remo comes with a set of housing and velcro strap so that users are able to wear it just like a common wrist watch.
Priced at USD 79.99 (about RM 331), GoPro didn’t reveal the actual release date for its Remo but nevertheless, it is expected to be made available later this year.
