Logitech’s latest lineup of gaming products, the Prodigy series, is now in Malaysia. The series features four new gaming peripherals which includes two mice, one keyboard, and a headset. How is it different from the existing G series? Seeing how Logitech is claiming the Prodigy series to be made exclusively for everyone, this is essentially a more affordable lineup of gaming peripherals.

First, we have the Logitech G403 Prodigy gaming mouse, which comes in two variants: wired and wireless. The G403 is packed with a PMW3366 gaming mouse sensor, touted as the world’s most advanced gaming mouse sensor. It also weighs a lightweight 90g, and it features rubber grips on both sides of the mice. There’s also a removable 10g weight should you prefer a lighter mouse for gaming.

The G403 Prodigy is also compatible with the Logitech Gaming Software (LGS), allowing users to customise the mouse’s six programmable buttons, its DPI (200 to 12,000) settings, as well as the RGB lighting of the mouse. The wireless version is connected via 2.4GHz wireless technology with 1ms report rate. As for the wired version, it has a two meter braided cable.

Logitech’s latest gaming keyboard is equipped with the company’s very own Mech-Dome keys and is touted to be four times faster than standard keyboards. These Mech-Dome keys are essentially membrane keys that provide the tactile response of mechanical keys. Mech-Dome keys are full height with a full 4mm travel distance, and have an actuation force of 50g.

The Logitech G231 Prodigy gaming headset offers stereo sound using 40mm neodymium drivers with a frequency response from 20Hz to 20KHz and impedance of 32Ohms. Realising that gaming is often times an intense activity, Logitech fitted the ear cups with sports mesh cloth for enhanced comfort.

Other than that, the G231 also comes with controls on the 2 meter cable which lets you mute or increase and decrease the audio volume. Logitech has also included a mic and stereo Y-splitter cable should you require one.
