LG G5 Now Officially Available In Malaysia For RM 2,699: Alongside Stylus 2 Plus

When LG G5 was announced to the world at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the smartphone managed to attract plenty of attention thanks to its unique semi-modular design, powerful hardware, and dual rear camera setup. However, it is only now the smartphone is finally available in Malaysia.

That being said though, LG Malaysia or rather its phone distributor, Zitron Malaysia actually didn’t announce the phone’s availability in our market despite having appeared on SIRIM’s database two months ago. Instead, we learned about its release through several retailers such as DirectD, Satu Gadget, and Greenfone Gadget who have listed G5 on their respective websites.

Since these retailers have sold parallel import units before, naturally they have created separate listing for the newly arrived official units from Zitron. Such listing will state that the G5 is covered by 12 months’ warranty from Zitron (as opposed to in-store warranty) and is priced at RM 2,699. Additionally, the official unit also comes with free battery charging kit.

Meanwhile, it seems that Zitron Malaysia has also released another LG smartphone into the market in the form of Stylus 2 Plus although somehow only DirectD has listed the device on its website. First launched in June, the device is generally a beefed up version of the Stylus 2 that was announced at MWC 2016 due to its more powerful 1.4GHz octa-core processor, full HD display, bigger RAM, and higher resolution 16-megapixels sensor inside its rear camera.

LG Stylus 2 PlusAccording to DirectD’s listing, the Malaysian unit carries 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage as well as a price tag of RM 1,399. Similar to the G5, the Stylus 2 Plus is covered by 1-year warranty from Zitron.
