Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter is Priced at RM49

With the fact that the new iPhone 7 no longer has a 3.5mm audio jack, Apple is including a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter inside every retail box of the iPhone 7 for backwards compatibility. But what happens if you lose that adapter?

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus owners can either use the included Lightning EarPods, or any regular earphones with the included adapter. However, should you lose the adapter (or looking for an extra unit), Apple Malaysia’s online store has listed the adapter at RM49. This is slightly higher than the retail price in the US, where it is sold at $9 (about RM36).

Given that the iPhone 7 is not yet available in Malaysia, the Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter is also not yet available for sale, despite the product being listed in the website.

On a related note, the Lightning EarPods are also listed for sale in Apple Malaysia’s website at RM139, which is the same as the 3.5mm EarPods. But just like the adapter, it is not yet available for sale.

Both accessories are likely to be available when the new iPhone 7 launches in Malaysia.
