There are already plenty of mobile payment options out there like Apple Pay, Android Pay and such, and it looks like Xiaomi would like to join the crowd. The Chinese company recently unveiled its own NFC mobile payment service called the Mi Pay.

Mi Pay is similar to other mobile payment services like Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. Just key in your credit and debit card details to the app, and you can make payments via NFC on your smartphone. You can also store other card details like loyalty, gift or membership cards so you can say goodbye to all the cards in your wallet.

Mi PayMi Pay will launch in none other than China. The company is working with a number of banks in its home country such as China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, Huaxia bank, and such. Other banks such as Bank of China, Beijing Bank, and more will be added in September.

In addition to that, Xiaomi also unveiled a new smart washing – Mi Washing Machine. Retailing at 1,499 Yuan, about RM905, the washing machine weighs 34kg and has the capacity of 2.8kg. Controlled by the Mi Home app, there are 14 laundry modes on board, and it can wash clothes with hot water to sterilise clothes and kill bacteria.
