After making the honor V8 official, the larger version of the phone – V8 Max – has now surfaced. While the honor V8 will not be making its way to Malaysian shores, there is a chance the honor V8 Max will be, and it’s packing quite respectable hardware.
According to its TENAA listing, the honor V8 Max features a whopping 6.6-inch QHD AMOLED display, which is rather new for the Chinese company. Previously, honor mentioned that it did not want to go past Full HD resolution for its smartphones, although it seems to have changed that philosophy when it introduced the honor V8.
Under the hood, the Honor V8 Max is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Kirin 950 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone has 32GB of internal memory with support for microSD card expansion as well.
In the camera department, the Honor V8 packs a 13MP camera on the back with an 8MP front-facing camera. Below the rear camera, you’ll find the fingerprint sensor as well. Powering the Honor V8 Max is a large 4,400mAh battery. Although the device weighs a hefty 219 grams, it only measures 7.2mm, which is pretty thin.
Seeing that the device has just been revealed on TENAA, no information on pricing or availability has been made. Hopefully, the honor V8 Max will be brought into Malaysia in due time.
