More Teasers of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Surface

Many were puzzled when it was rumoured that the 2016 iteration of the Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone will skip a number; it will apparently be called the Galaxy Note 7 instead of Note 6. Now, two new teasers seem to suggest that the Note 7 moniker is definitely in the pipeline.

The first teaser came from China’s popular social networking site, Weibo. Out of the two teasers leaked, this is definitely the least convincing: it doesn’t exactly look like a professionally made teaser. It goes without saying that a giant company like Samsung can come up with better teasers.

As for the second teaser, it definitely looks much more polished; the words “note the next galaxy” were written on the bottom of the number seven as well. Unlike the first teaser, this particular image came from SamMobile, which mentioned that it was a tip given to site by a source. Then again, it goes without saying that there is always a chance that these two teasers did not originate from Samsung; it’s not exactly difficult to render such teasers for those with experience in Photoshop or the likes.

Regardless, it’s safe to say that more details on Samsung’s next Galaxy Note will surface as we approach its alleged August launch date. It will be interesting to know why Samsung decided to skip a number with the device, although many believe it’s because the company wants to streamline the numbering system between the Galaxy S devices and the Galaxy Note series.
