What’s Next For Webe? More Prizes, Of Course!

After close to three weeks of intense QR code scanning, Malaysia’s upcoming telco webe is set to commence the next stage of its 850 by webe campaign in one of the best ways possible: more prizes to be given away!

If you have been furiously scanning QR codes over the past few weeks, webe has some interesting stats for you. Since the start of the campaign from 11 May 2016, 1.2 million QR codes have been scanned to date. Some additional stats include:

  • on average, each participant has scanned 30 QR codes.
  • a total of 16,000 vouchers have been scanned, worth a total of RM1.8 million.
  • of these vouchers, 6,000 were Boost Juice and Chatime vouchers, 3,000 were Grab and TGV vouchers, and 3,000 Huawei, ZTE and Samsung device vouchers.
  • so far, 60 Huawei Mate 8 smartphones have been given out.

To mark the start of the second half of the seven-week long campaign, webe is continuing to offer rewards via QR codes. For starters, a roving truck will be deployed from June 20 around the Klang Valley to let QR code hunters more chance of winning cash vouchers or coupons. Those who scan the roving truck codes also stand a chance of winning passes to be the first to watch the upcoming Warcraft movie!

But that’s not all. Starting tomorrow until 7 June 2016, you can win a brand new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge smartphone, Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, or 1,800 Samsung device vouchers. Simply scan the looping QR code below with the webe850 app, and instantly win one of the prizes mentioned above! Just remember that like other looping QR codes you may have encountered at the Sunway Pyramid event, this looping QR code can only be scanned once.

UPDATE 1 June 2016: Here’s a new set of QR codes!

UPDATE 3 June 2016: Here are even more QR codes.

Don’t forget, too, that the app has a lucky draw that lets you win a one-week holiday in a private island. A new inclusion in the prize list is another one-week stay, this time in a castle in England. The lucky draw starts from today, so keep a lookout for it in the app! Remember, you get one free entry each day in the lucky draw if you get the answer to the daily quiz correctly – they’re simple “yes or no” questions, and you’ll most likely get the answer correct because they’re fairly simple.
