Despite the hype that was generated by Apple Watch last year, smartwatch has yet to make a major impact in the consumer space. Nevertheless, it still a growing trend as more and more companies start to produced smartwatch with even non-tech companies have begun to take notice of the trend. One such company is Breitling who have just launched its brand new Exospace B55.
Said to be designed for aviation professionals and features a titanium case, the Breitling Exospace B55 can be paired with its Android or iOS app over Bluetooth connection. The app can then be used to manipulate the watch’s time, date and alarms just like how one would use the crown to set these parameters on the watch manually.
Apart from that, the app also enables Exospace B55’s owners to download and store lap times from the watch. Meanwhile, the two LCD displays on the watch is used to display calls, message, e-mail and appointments notifications. In terms of battery life, the watch is able to last for up to two months with each charge which can be done through a magnetic connector on the left side of the watch.
Priced at RM 36,850, the “smart” functions on Exospace B55 might seemed rather basic as compared to digital smartwatches out there with many of them cost much less. Nevertheless, we are pretty sure that this watch still meant something for watch enthusiasts and collectors out there though especially with it being a Breitling.
