Yahoo has just announced that its mail service, Yahoo Mail, will be incorporating Gmail in its mailbox service. The mail service had previously added support for Hotmail, Outlook and AOL mail earlier this year. According to Yahoo, many of its users have been asking for the addition of Gmail in Yahoo Mail and now, its here.
Yahoo says that users will be able to browse through their entire Gmail archives along with any attachments inside Yahoo Mail. Besides that, users will be able to search through specific emails inside all connected mail services from Yahoo Mail itself. Yahoo has also included access to all contacts across connected mailboxes as well along with special features and capabilities inside its Yahoo Mail app for iOS and Android.

Recently, Yahoo has been facing several issues that are affecting the company. The issues include: plans to sell core business shares, blocking users that enables AdBlock from accessing Yahoo Mail and overall, the seemingly unsuccessful attempts by CEO Marrisa Mayer to revive Yahoo. Hopefully, the addition of major email service providers inside Yahoo Mail will play a role in Yahoo’s plan to be its former self again.
The support for Gmail and other email service providers is now live and accessible through Yahoo Mail on the web and the Yahoo Mail app for iOS and Android.
