After much anticipation, the Nexus 6P is now in Malaysia. As the greatest and most premium Nexus device yet, it is priced as such at RM2,698.
While the Nexus 6P’s retail price is considerably higher than its predecessors (aside from the Nexus 6), it boasts specifications and build quality that rival many other flagship Android devices. For instance, it has an all metal body and a rear fingerprint sensor, features that weren’t present on any Nexus smartphone until now.
Other than that, the Nexus 6P has a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of non-expandable storage, 12.3MP rear and 8MP front-facing cameras, as well as a reasonably sized 3,450mAh battery.
Interestingly, a Huawei representative mentioned that the Nexus 6P comes with a 1-year one to one exchange. If the device has any issue, consumers can just head to a Huawei service centre for an exchange.. It’s good to see a Nexus device officially launch here in a timely manner. After all, the Nexus 6 took quite some time to be officially brought in. It remains to be seen if the Nexus 5X will be officially available here.
The Nexus 6P will go on sale on vMall.my and Lazada on 10th December 2015. To sweeten the deal, a free Google Chromecast (the older model) will be given out with every purchase of the Nexus device – while stocks last, of course. The Nexus 6P will be available in two colours in Malaysia: Aluminium and Graphite.
