After Google’s announcement of the Huawei Nexus 6P, many Android fans have been eagerly waiting for news about its official arrival in Malaysia. We already reported that it will be coming very soon, and now we can confirm a launch date: 8 December 2015.
Huawei Malaysia representatives have just posted an event invite for what is undoubtedly the launch of the Nexus 6P. Part of the invite can be seen in the image above; the instantly familiar upper portion of the Nexus 6P’s back all but confirms which product Huawei will be ending the year with.
The Huawei Nexus 6P has a 5.7-inch AMOLED display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 coupled with 3GB of RAM. On the back, there is a 12.3MP camera with dual-tone flash, and an 8MP camera on the front. In terms of storage, there are three variants to the Nexus 6P – 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
Connectivity wise, the Nexus 6P supports 4G LTE, dual-band ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2. On top of that, it also has the latest USB Type-C port. Powering the device is a 3,450mAh battery, and it comes in three colours – aluminium, graphite, and frost.
Pricing information for the Huawei Nexus 6P has yet to be revealed, and we’re not sure which variant will be brought into Malaysia. That being said, there have been reports where a product listing for the Nexus 6P appearing momentarily on Huawei’s Vmall e-commerce portal, revealing a 32GB version retailing for RM2,698; Huawei since clarified it was just a placeholder for testing.
