Announced back at Tokyo Game Show 2015, colourful HDD bay covers for the PlayStation 4 have been brought in by Sony Malaysia. It’s now easier than ever to customise the appearance of your PS4, albeit it’s just the bay cover area.
Priced at RM99 each, these HDD bay covers are slightly more expensive than they are in Japan, where they go for 2,500 Japanese yen (about RM85). The colours that Sony Malaysia has brought in are Aqua Blue, Lime Green, Red, Pink, Purple, Gold, and also Silver; plenty of colours to choose from.
Interestingly, Sony Malaysia did not mention if it was bringing in the new colour variations of the DualShock 4 controller as well, which was announced alongside these custom HDD bay covers. Update: our reader, Anon, has pointed out that three of the four new colours are actually available in Malaysia. These are the Gold, Silver, and Steel Black DualShock 4 controllers. Only the see-through variant, Crystal, which is priced at 5,980 yen (around RM205) in Japan, has yet to be made available in Malaysia.
