A few days ago, Google released a new Star Wars promotional campaign – Choose Your Side – which will change all of Google’s services theme depending on the path that is chosen. Recently, Google released another Easter egg which has a similar Star Wars theme.

The Star Wars Easter egg wasn’t something that Google announced publicly. They did, however, gave a hint on Twitter which mentioned “search the beginning”. If you were a true Star Wars fan, this would be obvious. Google has been actively advertising the upcoming Star Wars movie ever since its collaboration with Disney. With that, not only will Google be releasing easter eggs and changes to the theme of its services based on a chosen path, it will also be releasing some kind of virtual reality content in the coming weeks.

The new Star Wars Easter egg will surely appeal to any Star Wars fan out there. Now, not all of us are hardcore Star Wars fans and some may have never watched it. Hence, Google’s hint won’t make any sense to those new to the franchise. So for those that are still confused, give the easter egg a try by going to Google’s homepage, and type in “a long time ago in a galaxy far far away”. Bear in mind that it only works on Chrome when we tested it.
