iflix has officially launched its own offline viewing feature. Dubbed as “Download and Watch Offline,” it offers iflix subscribers the ability to download certain contents to be viewed at a later time without the need of an Internet connection. Needless to say, this will come in handy to many users.

While not all contents will be available for download, iflix mentioned that there are “thousands of TV shows and movies” that are downloadable; some of these include Mr. Robot and Fargo. Contents which have been downloaded will be saved on a user’s device for seven days. After said period of time has ended, the content will be automatically deleted by the app.

Of course, iflix subscribers can always re-download contents which have been deleted; they can do so as many times as they like. Each television episode or movie can be downloaded in three quality settings: low, medium, or high. Unfortunately, this service is only available on mobile. Only Android and iOS users can download contents to their tablets or smartphones.

If you’re keen to check out iflix for yourself, you can download the app from iTunes or the Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can also check out the streaming service on its official site here.
