After the Axon series, ZTE has now announced the ZTE Blade S7 – a smartphone that is made for the selfie lover in mind. The Blade series has always been the company’s offerings for a more affordable range of premium products. The Blade S7 boasts on its 13MP front shooter with selfie-enhancing features.
In charge of the Blade S7’s display is a 5-inch full HD LTPS screen, that is capable of exhibiting 445 PPI and has 178-degree wide viewing angle. The device is wrapped in an aluminium alloy frame and is protected with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with an Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage with support of microSD card expansion of up to 64GB. Rounding out the specifications is the UI the device runs on. ZTE has used the MiFavor 3.2 UI, which is customised based on Android Lollipop 5.1.1.
Speaking of the camera, the Blade S7 has a 13MP camera on the front and back of the device. The front camera also comes with flash to help with dark environments, and it even has phase detection autofocus. Selfie lovers will also have 14 beautification functions to choose from. On the back, the camera supports both auto as well as professional mode. In addition, it is also capable of selective focus and laser auto focus for faster picture-taking.
Not only that, the Blade S7 has a fingerprint scanner built into the home button. It comes with One Press Launch, which allows its user to launch different apps with different fingerprints. This device comes with an improved intuitive gesture control function featured on the Blade S6. It also has a smaller 2,400mAh battery compared to the 2,500mAh found on the ZTE Blade S6.
The Blade S7 measures 7.2mm thick, 6.7cm wide and weighs 131 grams. The device will be available in four colour variants – Lemon Green, Rose Fold, Diamond White and Space Grey. The price for the device has not yet been mentioned in the announcement.The ZTE Blade S7 will first be available in Thailand, and will soon be released to other countries in Asia Pacific.
