Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) is organising an event in conjunction with the annual ASEAN Entrepreneurship Summit 2015. Level Up KL 2015 is Southeast Asia’s regional premier convention for the Gaming Community which is suited for everyone ranging from developers to recruiters.
Level Up KL will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton on the 18th – 19th of November. The event will be divided into two sessions, one for the business community and another for the public. The business community session will be more focused on Interaction, Knowledge Sharing, Exposure and Showcase.
The business session of the event will feature several speakers from well known gaming companies like Blizzard, Square Enix, Bioware, Ubisoft and many more. Level UP KL will start from 9:00 AM up to 7:00 PM for both days of the event. There will also be a separate event for the community called POWER UP KL which will be held on the 15th – 17th of November just before Level Up KL.
POWER UP KL Game Jam is where developers from across ASEAN will compete in a 48-hour Hackathon. The 48-hour hackathon will be supported by several well known industry experts from Sony Computer Entertaintment, Square Enix, Unity and many more. Not only will the top three winners win tempting prizes, the top ten winners will also be automatically submitted for MDeC’s National Initiatives for Gaming that will upscale them to larger access to funds and markets. Participants of POWER UP KL will also receive a free pass for Level UP KL.
Early bird tickets for Level Up KL is now on sale for RM150 for the two-day event and registration is also open now for POWER UP KL . For developers, recruiters and gamers that are interested, there are further details on the event at Level Up KL’s website.
