While you might not have heard of LeTV before in Malaysia, the company is pretty well-known in China. Recently, it has officially announced its brand new Android device, the Le 1s. According to LeTV, the 1s costs 1,310 Chinese yuan (about RM880) to make, but the company will be selling it for only 1,100 yuan, which is around RM735.

That’s right, LeTV will be selling the Le 1s at a loss. On top of that, the 1s is a well-equipped Android device too. Under its hood is a capable MediaTek Helio X10 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of non-expandable internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery with support for fast charging. The Le 1s also has a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display, a fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port.

Rounding out the specifications of the Le 1s are a 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, a 5MP front-facing snapper, LTE connectivity, dual-SIM support, and EUI 5.5 based on Android Lollipop out of the box. All of these specifications coupled with a metal body makes the Le 1s a pretty impressive device, especially with its affordable price tag.

As usual, there is no indication of the LeTV 1s making it to Malaysia, although we’re sure parallel importers will have it in stock sometime in the future. For now, it is set to hit the Chinese and Indian markets only.
