LG Electronics Malaysia has officially launched the world’s first 4K Curved UHD Smart 3D OLED TV in Malaysia. Announced globally earlier this year, the new 65-inch LG OLED TV features the latest display technology to be implemented into televisions, along with the company’s webOS smart TV platform.

LG’s OLED TV panel produces richer and more natural hues, better contrast, along with deeper blacks. This ensures a more immersive viewing experience, and also making the TV render motion without flickering or blurring. The TV also has a maximum response time of 0.001ms, which LG claims to be 1,000 times faster than conventional LCD flat panel TVs.

This 65-inch 4K Curved UHD Smart 3D OLED TV features LG’s Art Slim design, giving it a slimmer and overall minimal aesthetic. In addition, it can be wall mounted should the user wish to do so. In terms of audio performance, LG collaborated with Harman Kardon to create the Ultra Surround sound system to deliver clear and detailed sound – though this feature is only present in the larger 77-inch model, which is not yet available in Malaysia.

The TV runs on LG’s proprietary webOS smart TV platform. webOS integrates features like Simple Connection, Simple Switching and Simple Discovery, together with a reduced boot time and menu optimisation on the Launcher Bar to easily add or remove favourite items.

Originally announced back in March 2015, the LG 4K Curved UHD Smart 3D OLED TV, model ’65EC970T’ is now available in major department stores nationwide and it retails at RM29,999. There is also the smaller 55-inch model ’55EC930T’ that sells for RM10,999.

Additionally, LG has a promotion going on for the TV from 12 October 2015 to 31 Dec 2015. If you purchase any BMW or MINI and finance it with BMW Credit, you will receive an authorisation letter to purchase the 65-inch model at a RM3,000 discount, or the 55-inch model at a RM1,000 discount.
