Get a OnePlus 2 by Trading-In Your Samsung Device

OnePlus is known for its aggressive approach to marketing, but this particular one could net you a complimentary unit of the OnePlus 2. The catch is: you’ll have to trade-in your Samsung device. Not just any Samsung device either, it has to be a Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, or Note 5.

In terms of monetary value, the trade-in isn’t exactly a fair one. Samsung’s latest flagship devices cost much more than the OnePlus 2, but for those who have been using an S6 or S6 edge ever since it was launched, this is actually a reasonable deal. However, the campaign is only limited to 50 “winners,” so not everyone will get the chance to trade-in their Samsung flagship for a brand new OnePlus 2.

The “Take The Edge Off” campaign is an initiative by OnePlus to donate the Samsung device to Hope Phones, a non-profit organisation which aims to provide medical technology to those who need it the most. “Your contribution in this swap could help someone in a remote area of the world get fast, efficient, and professional medical care,” the company wrote.

If you’d like to give this campaign a shot, all you have to do is use the #TakeTheEdgeOff hashtag on social media and write why you want to “take the edge off.” Once that’s done, just fill up this form. If you’re selected, a OnePlus representative will contact you. This offer will end on the 18th of October 2015; more information can be found here.
