By now, almost everyone would know that Xiaomi is no stranger to teasing its fans right before it unveils a brand new product. With the above teaser simply reading “the next generation,” what could Xiaomi be announcing next week?
Seeing how the teaser is suggesting “the next generation” of a certain product, it’ll almost definitely be a new device for one of Xiaomi’s existing lineup of products. Coincidentally, various rumours on the Mi 5 smartphone and Mi Pad 2 tablet were circulating the web over the past few months. Although no one can be sure of it at this point, there’s a good chance a new device for either one of these two lineups will be announced next week.

As usual, details on the Mi 5 and Mi Pad 2 are light. With so many rumours surrounding these two devices, it’s hard to say for sure which information is to be taken seriously. Take the Mi Pad 2, for example. Some say that the tablet could be running on Windows 10, while others are claiming that it will run on both Android and Windows, making it a dual-booting tablet.

Regardless, all will be revealed come 19th October next week. As Xiaomi doesn’t usually stop at just dropping one teaser, we could be seeing more hints from the rapidly growing company over the next few days. This could be one of the biggest announcements from the company this year; assuming it will be unveiling the successor to the Mi 4 or Mi Pad.
