The Adblock Plus browser for Android has been around for quite some time now and it looks like the iOS version of the app is finally available. Adblock Plus for iOS is now available for download from the App Store.
This is the first time that such feature is available for iOS devices. Previously, users would have to jailbreak their device to install similar apps but now, anyone with an iPhone or iPad running on iOS 8.0 and above would be able to enjoy an ad-free browsing experience.
The app does more than block out annoying ads though, the company says that it saves data and battery too – saves up to 50% data plans and up to 23% battery life by not loading advertisements. On top of that, it can also protect users from malware and tracking that are hidden behind ads.
As for Android users, Adblock Browser that was previously only available in beta is now available from the Play Store. It supports on all Android running on Android 2.3 and above – installation requires 24MB of internal storage and 384MB of RAM.
