Originally launched last year, the R5 now costs RM 1,398 which is RM 200 less than the existing RM 1,598 price tag. At the same time, the R1L now goes for RM 798 instead of RM 1,098 while Neo 5 is now priced at RM 398 as compared to its previous price of RM 538.

The main attraction of R5 is its rather thin physique at only mm which is also equipped with 5.2-inch full HD display, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front facing camera and 2,000 mAh battery. This is the second time that the model has received a price reduction from OPPO Malaysia as the first price reduction took place earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the R1L offers 5.0-inch 720p IPS display, 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, 13-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front camera, and 2,410 mAh battery. As for Neo 5, it comes with a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 IPS display, 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, 5-megapixels rear camera, 2-megapixels front camera, and 1,900 mAh battery.
