Dynamics Distribution, the official distributor of Asus products in Malaysia, has revealed the retail price of the Asus ZenPad C 7.0. Priced at RM499, this is one of the cheapest Android tablets in our market. The fact that it has dual-SIM support makes it an even more compelling device.
As the ZenPad C 7.0 is meant to be an affordable tablet, it won’t be blowing anyone away with its specifications. It has a 7-inch 1024 x 700 resolution IPS display, an Intel Atom x3 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 64GB.
Other specifications include 3G connectivity, a 2MP rear camera, and a VGA front-facing shooter. While LTE support would’ve been nicer, we are talking about a sub-RM500 tablet.
We have previously spotted the ZenPad C 7.0 in SIRIM’s database back in June, and along with it, we also stumbled upon another tablet: the ZenPad 7.0. Unfortunately, Dynamics has yet to divulge on the retail price of this higher-end tablet.
In any case, it probably won’t be long before Asus Malaysia officially launches these two ZenPad tablets in Malaysia. It will be interesting to see if the flagship ZenPad S 8.0 will arrive here as well.
