If you are travelling to a foreign land soon, you might want to download the Google Translate app because the company recently updated it with better translation for normal conversations.
Google says that it translate over 100 billion words a day. While useful, there’s no denying that Google Translate sometimes gives rather weird translations. It isn’t a problem if you are asking it to translate a paragraph of text whereby you can edit later, but if you are using it for normal everyday conversation, it could turn out rather embarrassing. The new update improves translation for informal speech, so if you are travelling to another country, you can use the app to better converse with the locals.
Google real-time translation was introduced earlier this year. Thanks to a huge community of users who have been helping out in improving the translations, Google Translate is now more accurate. If you would like to help out, you can join the hundreds of thousands of users in the Translate Community; Google says that they will incorporate corrections and over time learn the language a little better.
