Vertu Unveils An RM85,000 Dumb Phone

Vertu Signature For Bentley

Vertu is easily the world’s most premium mobile device maker, with prices ranging into thousands of US dollars for a simple phone. Its most recent device, a mobile phone made in conjunction with Bentley, is the ultimate expression of form over function. Which is especially important if you want your electronics to match the aesthetic of your really expensive Bentley.

The Vertu Signature for Bentley takes design cues from the Mulsanne Speed sedan, and is priced like one as well. In return, the owner gets a phone complete with a carbon fiber weave and calf leather finish, as well as a keypad finished with sapphire and keys that sit on ruby (which apparently offers a better click experience). If all this isn’t enough, the phone also comes with a 24-hour concierge service.

Vertu Signature For Bentley Back

Of course, there are a few things that the user will have to give up to own a Vertu Signature. This phone is only capable of making phone calls and sending text messages. That is all it has, although it is likely that the owner could easily call the concierge service and make them use their smartphones for him.

The Vertu Signature for Bentley will arrive in September of this year for only £14,500 (about RM85,925).
