Google Malaysia has begun rolling out a new “streamlined” version of its search results page for Malaysian users. Optimised for slower connections, the update will see Malaysians spending less time waiting for impromptu searches on their mobile devices.
With Malaysia’s somewhat patchy Internet experience, Google’s latest “streamlined” version of its search results page is set to improve the experience of Malaysian mobile users. The new search results page, according to Google, will load fast even on slow connections.
Interestingly, Google is enabling the lighter version of its search page automatically. Google will automatically check the quality of the user’s wireless connection, and if required, it will deliver the fast-loading version of Search. It also means less data is being used, so those on modest data plans will also benefit from this change.
The new “light mode” for Google Search is immediately available for all mobile users using Google Search; users do not need to fiddle around with app updates to enjoy faster search results on mobile.
