iPad air and iPad mini

As expected, all iPads sold in Malaysia on Apple Malaysia’s online store are now 6% more expensive than before. The price increase is to reflect GST charges and was published on Apple’s website at the stroke of midnight.

During the last price hike for Apple products in Malaysia, the Cupertino company did not increase the price of the iPads here. However, since GST is inevitable, the prices are now more expensive for the iPad Air 2, iPad Air, and all 3 versions of iPad mini (iPad mini, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3). The prices are as follows.

iPad Air 2 (Wi-Fi Only)

  • 16GB – RM1,695
  • 64GB – RM2,045
  • 128GB – RM2,384

iPad Air 2 (Wi-Fi + Cellular)

  • 16GB – RM2,151
  • 64GB – RM2,490
  • 128GB – RM2,840

iPad Air (Wi-Fi Only)

  • 16GB – RM1,356
  • 32GB – RM1,536

iPad Air (Wi-Fi + Cellular)

  • 16GB – RM1,801
  • 32GB – RM1,981

iPad mini 3 (Wi-Fi Only)

iPad mini 1 (Wi-Fi Only)

iPad mini 1 (Wi-Fi + Cellular)

This is a pretty significant price increase. The most expensive iPad – 128GB iPad Air 2 with cellular connectivity – sees an increase of RM161. Fortunately though, the prices for most accessories sold on the online store still remains the same.
