TSM Plus One and Plus Two Smartphones

Before I begin, let me get this out first: these are not the OnePlus smartphones that you might be looking for. That’s because OnePlus still has not officially release its smartphone in Malaysia and also, the company has yet to launch the successor to OnePlus One which is fondly known by many as OnePlus Two.

So, what are these Plus One and Plus Two smartphones then?

Truth to be told, we actually stumbled upon these smartphones by accident through SIRIM’s database. Registered by Tecson Marketing earlier this month, Plus One and Plus Two are the latest smartphones under the company’s TSM brand which we believe have no relation with the similarly named smartphone manufacturer from Indonesia.

TSM Plus One

The TSM Plus One (shown above) is equipped with a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 display and is powered by 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor. Together with dual SIM dual standby capability, the device also feature 1 GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage, support for MicroSD card, 5.0-megapixels rear camera, VGA front camera, and 2200mAh battery.

On another hand, the TSM Plus Two (shown below) offers a 5-inch HD display, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8-megapixels rear camera, 2-megapixels front camera and 2800mAh battery. Just like Plus One, it also features dual SIM dual standby capability, 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, and support for MicroSD card.

TSM Plus Two

The similarities between both smartphones didn’t end there as they are equipped with the same user interface. Pre-installed with Android 4.4.2, they also support gesture-based shortcuts although the Plus 2 does come with one additional feature in the form of MediaTek’s HotKnot wireless file transfer technology which is similar to the one on Alcatel One Touch Flash.

In terms of pricing, the TSM Plus One is said to be under RM 400 while Plus Two is apparently priced at RM 439. We are slightly concerned with their availability and after-sales service though, given the fact that TSM’s service centres are located only in Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perak, and Sabah.

Hence, do confirm their availability with your favourite smartphone retailer first if you are keen to get your hands on either of the new smartphones from TSM.
