The Xiaomi Mi Pad was up for sale on the company’s Malaysia website at 12PM earlier today, and in only one minute and five seconds, all units of the new tablet has flown off the shelves; virtually, anyway. The next batch of the Mi Pad is also said to be “on the way.”

As expected, Xiaomi did not disclose the amount of units that were available for today’s flash sale. Needless to say, customers who did not manage to secure any unit of the Mi Pad is clearly disappointed and angry as they vent their frustration on Xiaomi Malaysia’s Facebook page.

Retailing at RM799, the hardware of the Mi Pad is definitely eye-catching. Boasting a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 display and an NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset with a GPU that sports 192 Kepler-based cores, it is a capable little tablet. Other noteworthy specifications include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB), 8MP rear and 5MP front cameras, and a huge 6,700mAh battery.

If you have missed the opportunity to grab the Xiaomi Mi Pad today, you’ll just have to wait for the next flash sale, which is still unannounced for now.
